During the initial day of our two-day gathering, we took significant steps in establishing the “JUKWAA LA WADAU WA MAZINGIRA RUNGWE, BUSEKELO NA KYELA.” Our main goal was to set up a strong Executive Committee, a task we successfully completed. We elected leaders and representatives from various sectors, including environmental organizations, local communities, government bodies, and the private sector. These individuals share a unified vision and are dedicated to fostering positive environmental change in our region.
Throughout the day, we engaged in discussions on several key topics, including:
– Vision and Mission: We explored our long-term objectives and the strategies to achieve them.
– Accountability: We emphasized the importance of transparency and responsibility in our actions.
– Technology for Environmental Conservation: We discussed the role of technology in supporting our conservation efforts.
– Environmental Research: We considered the significance of research in guiding our initiatives and understanding environmental issues.
