SET Gender Training, Strengthening Skills, Building Inclusion

As part of the Skills for Employment Tanzania (SET) Project, funded by SwissContact and implemented by 360 Connects, we recently held an engaging training that brought together facilitators from different organizations.

The sessions focused on building facilitation skills what to consider before, during, and after training  and on unpacking gender concepts and how they relate to the realities of youth and young mothers in social Development. Participants shared field experiences that opened our eyes to challenges leading to youth dropouts during training, helping us identify practical solutions.

We also explored the roles, motives, challenges, and opportunities of both men and women in the economy and agriculture, with a strong emphasis on safeguarding  understanding what it is, how to assess and plan for it, and what steps to take when issues arise. The training further introduced gender-responsive pedagogy and guided participants through designing and implementing gender-transformative projects.

Step by step, this training is shaping facilitators who are skilled and also gender-sensitive and responsive to the realities of our communities.
